Camera Traps were a Great Success!

Over the past few weeks we have been spending a lot of time learning about animals and their habitats at Jasper Ridge.  After hiking around Jasper Ridge, students had the chance to each place camera trap in an area of their choice to try to capture pictures of their favorite animals.  Some students hoped for pictures of turkeys, others were more focused on bobcats.  Once placing the camera traps we left them for a week to see which animals would walk by.  In the camera traps students caught pictures of turkeys, deer, bobcats, birds, and even a cougar!
